Twelve storytellers, eleven artists, one exhibit: The Stories of Home exhibit is an intergenerational collaboration between a group of storytellers from the Lifelong Learning Institute at Nova Southeastern University, and a group of South Florida artists connected to the World and Eye Arts Center.

Imagine telling a story about your life and then having it transformed into a work of art. We gathered twelve senior adults and asked them for a "story of home". The stories were beautiful—moving, funny, and utterly charming. Then we gave recordings of the stories to a group of local artists to translate from words into painting, collage, and dance.

You can hear all the stories below. The artwork will be on display at the World and Eye Arts Center at the FAT Village Arts Walks on March 25th and April 29th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. If you'd like to experience the magic for yourself, there will be artists at the event willing to "paintify" your stories live at the gallery...
